Anglican Women of Australia (AWA) This active group has raised over $60,000 in the past five years for many different types of items needed by the Church. It does this through various activities such as examination invigilation and providing lunches for groups visiting Orange. In addition, there is a regular morning tea ($5 donation) at 10 a.m. on the second Friday of each month which provides a warm welcome and great fellowship. The Mothers’ Union meet on the last Tuesday of each month in the Parish Centre from 7.30-9pm. Meetings comprise fellowship and discussion. The Mothers' Union provides Marriage and Baptism certificates used in the Church and organises a number of fund-raising activities to pay for these. They are actively involved in preparation meetings for Baptisms. New members will be very welcome. Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 7:30pm. Books discussed recently include The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer & Annie Barrows, The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins and The Woman who waited by Andrei Makine.Tuesday Bible StudyThe Tuesday evening Bible study group meets from 7:30 pm in the home of Noel and Margo Clark and is open to any person interested in studying the Bible and fellowship. Some books studied include Ephesians, Psalms, Joel and Hebrews. Contact the parish office for further details. Orange Pealers (Bell Ringers)The bells are rung for each Sunday Service and for other significant Church and community events. Practice sessions are held on Tuesday nights.
